Glass Colouring Concentrates

PEMCO International is the supplier of choice for glass manufacturers operating colour forehearths to produce specialty colours. Our VitroMax™ branded range of colour concentrates are custom formulated, high-metal oxide containing, granular pellets that provide customers with operational savings through the elimination of blending several different frit formulations to achieve their desired colour.

In-Glass Colour Concentrates

Our VitroMax™ range of products pack a whole lot of colour into pellet form to reduce addition feed rates and melt at lower temperatures compared with frit products, which further protects and extends the lifetime of the colour forehearth. VitroMax™ products are available as either single or multi-oxide containing formulations and custom formulated to individual customers glass composition and designed for optimum performance within customer specific operating conditions for various container glass applications. 

Our glass colour concentrate products can be tailor made to a variety of different colours, tones, and shades and offers a full colour range including, Blues, Greens, Blacks, Browns, Pinks, Purples, Violets, and special effects. In addition to coloration and aesthetic properties, our products can offer functional properties such as UV Protection required for food and beverage containers.

We have developed an improved range of reduced dust formulated colour concentrate VitroMax™ “P” products, which provide increased product handling safety in both our facilities and that of our customers. Our latest product range provides superior performance and reduced seed formation due to the angular pellet shape providing improved melting characteristics and colour homogenisation for reliable colour and quality consistency. 

Our glass colouring concentrates are available in 25kg bags or bulk packaging to suit customer colour transportation systems into the colour forehearth feeder and custom formulated by our in-house highly specialised glass technology team to match exact customer requirements, glass chemistry, preferred pull rate, forehearth design and operating conditions to ensure consistently reliable quality and colour stability with each and every batch.
